Dear ex-SPYs,

SSEAYP International Singapore (SIS) has received a request from SSEAYP International Malaysia (KABESA) to submit nomination of 10 ex-SPYs to participate in the SSEAYP International Conference (SICO) 2.0 on 23 January 2021, 9am to 5.30pm (GMT+8). 2 ex-SPYs will be tagged to each of the following topics of discussion:
i. Food Security
ii. Economic Empowerment
iii. Youth, Peace and Security
iv. Transformative Education
v. Climate, Peace and Security

The Conference’s objectives are:
– to bring together the aspiration of young people from ASEAN and Japan to discuss the critical roles of education and partnership in shaping a better future post-COVID-19 pandemic; and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach that brings together different actors.
– to share best practices and versatile local actions in addressing some relevant topics concerning SDGs: Food Security, Economic Empowerment, Youth, Peace and Security, Climate and Transformative Education.
– to present novel approaches to fostering innovation and linking young professionals from different sectors to promote solutions to be used and advocated in their respective countries. Unlocking the power of education, partnership, and innovation for the post-pandemic response can lead to future efforts and collaboration among young people from ASEAN+ Japan.
