SSEAYP International Singapore is organising a talk on Covid-19 in Singapore on Saturday, 10th April 2021.

Covid-19 has become one of the biggest global pandemics that has threatened people’s health and livelihoods. It has also revealed our vulnerability to the unexpected crisis. With the rollout of vaccines in Singapore, many people question the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines. Carol will be sharing a journal article on the safety and efficacy of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

In addition, engaging with communities has been difficult during the pandemic, particularly with the isolated seniors and migrant workers. Carol will be sharing her experiences volunteering at the migrant worker dormitories and as a befriender who pays home visits to seniors’ residences. She will share the lessons learned during the pandemic and how this volunteering experience has left a lasting impression on her.
